• Advising BaltCap, the leading dedicated private equity and venture capital investor in the Baltic States, on the investment in the Lithuanian company Keturi Kambariai, the owner of the coffee shop chain Coffee Inn. The fund acquired 45.26 per cent of shares in Keturi Kambariai

• Advising the management of SEB Enskilda, in the buyout of SEB Enskilda business in Estonia and Latvia

• Advising SIA TV Net, belonging to a Scandinavian media group Schibstedt, in the acquisition of the youth targeted internet site spoki.lv from SIA Nerealitate

• Advising and representing SIA Samsung Electronics Baltics in the appeal against a decision of the national competition authority alleging market partitioning and resale price maintenance, and imposing a Latvian record fine of EUR 6.6 million.

• Representing AS Latvenergo, the incumbent producer of electricity in Latvia, in an investigation by the national competition authority of a complaint by a competitor alleging exclusionary pricing practices in the heat sales market.

• Advising 21 banks (via Latvian Commercial Banks Association) in a cartel investigation and 13 banks in an appeal against the competition authority’s decision in connection with the Payment Settlement Agreement concluded by the banks and establishing local multilateral interchange fees (MIF).

• Obtaining merger clearances for acquisitions in Latvia by First Data, Maxima, Neste Oil, Orkla and Stora Enso group companies.

•  Representation of numerous local and foreign companies in acquisitions of Latvian entities and businesses active in the sectors of insurance, motor vehicles, production, wholesale, retail and real estate.

• Acting as a counsel to Latvian and Russian shareholders of AS ELKO GRUPA, a major wholesale distributor of IT products and consumer electronics in the Baltics, Central Europe, Eastern Europe and CIS, in connection with the sale of a minority stake to Amber Trust II S.C.A. and East Capital Asset Management A.B. and entering of SHA.

• Counsel to the Ministry of Agriculture in connection with the formation of JV with Metsaliitto and Sodra for construction of a pulp mill plant, negotiations of the Implementation Agreement with the State.

• Acting as a counsel for AS Latvenergo in the tender procedures, the contract negotiations and throughout the execution of the contracts for the reconstruction of Plavinas and Kegums hydro-power plants, thermo power plants Riga TEC-1, Riga TEC-2 (1st unit and 2nd unit).

• Representation of Baltic Property Trust funds in connection with the acquisition of real estates and real estate SPVs, including trade centers Olympia, Barona Centrs, Juglas Centrs, Valdemara Rimi Hypermarket, office buildings Valdemara Centrs and Kalku 15.

• Acting as a counsel to SIA Skanstes 12, a subsidiary of AS DnB NORD banka, in entering land purchase agreement, construction agreement and various other agreements for new central administrative building of DNB.
