Partner of our office Kalvis Torgans was amongst the group of Latvian lawyers awarded this year with the annual prize of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia for elaboration of the Commentaries to the Civil Law. Prof. Torgans has co-authored and edited section on the Contract Law.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of RoschierRaidla, the Fenno-Baltic co-operation, the RoschierRaidla Nordic Baltic Review Magazine was issued.

Mr. Carl Bildt, former Primer Minister of Sweden, Mr Indrek Neivelt, former CEO of Estonia's largest bank Hansapank, Mr Björn Wahlroos, CEO of Sampo Group, and other outstanding professionals contributed to the Magazine.

As of 15 August 2005 partner Romualds Vonsovics left the firm.

New head of our litigation practice will be partner Kalvis Torgans.

Two new associates have joined our office: Aldis Gobzems specializing in ligitation and insolvency and Jurgita Spigule specializing in EU law and general commercial matters.
